What is Burmese ruby?

The Burmese ruby is a deep, vibrant red gemstone, often considered one of the most precious and sought-after in the world. Its color ranges from raspberry red to blood red, sometimes with a slight pink or purple tinge. Known since ancient times and associated with power, passion, and protection, the ruby holds a central place in the history of jewelry.

Burma (now Myanmar), and particularly the Mogok region, is famous for producing exceptional rubies, recognized for their intense color and natural brilliance. These gems are often mounted as beads or cut into cabochons, and are highly prized for their noble and timeless character. They are found in both ancient creations and contemporary jewelry, always carrying great symbolic power.

What is the symbolism of the ruby?

Ruby has always been associated with passion, deep love, and life force. In lithotherapy, it is known to stimulate energy, revive motivation, and strengthen self-confidence. A true stone of fire, it inspires courage, enthusiasm, and perseverance, while helping to overcome fears and emotional blockages.

Ruby is also considered a stone of protection and loyalty, fostering sincere and lasting relationships. It embodies the impulse of the heart, the joy of living, and the will to move forward with intensity. Worn daily, it is a powerful ally for those who wish to assert their presence, shine, and live life to the fullest.

Import fees / VAT

Do I have to pay customs duties or import fees?

Please note that for all orders to be shipped to addresses outside of Switzerland, experience has shown that customs duties and/or VAT will be charged by the carrier in order for the goods to be released to you. Due to the complexity of international trade, this will unfortunately have to be paid by you and will be your responsibility. If you refuse the goods at customs, all return costs will be your responsibility (this includes any re-importation costs into Switzerland if you do not clearly mark this as a return).

What happens if I change my mind after the order arrives at my local customs office?

We understand that you may change your mind once the item arrives at customs and you see the customs charges. We do however need the order to be returned to us by the customs office before the charges can be refunded. We will unfortunately have to charge a basic fee of 10.- / $10 / £8 to pay the courier.

If you have any questions, just send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible: info@taneja.ch
